Graphics Enhancement For Gaming

  • A better visual experience for your favorite gaming console.
  • Real-time lag-free graphics enhancement and contextual anti-aliasing.

Aliasing: a pixel resolution problem

In graphics rendering, mapping contiguous lines into finite pixels creates a problem called "aliasing". Aliasing is commonly characterized by visibly annoying symptoms like jagged edges, crawling along edges, and shimmering in texture.

Aliasing is made worse by limited GPU resources in current game console platforms. Rendered resolution achieved in the console is not sufficient.

  • PS3/XBox 360 games mostly rendered at 720p.
  • PS4/Xbox One games rendered at 1080p or below.

There is not enough processing power left inside the console to mitigate aliasing. An outside-the-box solution is needed.

mCable coming into play

mCable Gamer Edition brings an advanced graphics post-processing engine on a HDMI cable. The benefits are eye catching:

  • Contextual anti-aliasing: removes jaggies without noticeable blur.
  • Adaptive resolution scaling: scales native rendered resolution to match display.
  • High frame rate support: support frame rates up to 1080p120.
  • Sub-1ms lag: game at your dreamed speed.

    Marseille Mcable Gaming Edition

Posted by Jeff K on Oct 11th 2017

I've worked in the consumer electronics field for nearly a decade, and as such have had lots of experience with "ultra-premium" HDMI cables. Most notably the biggest industry player that I'm sure you all know, whose HDMI cables come in several "bandwidth tiers" and can be seen in retail stores worldwide for between $50 and $150. Not to mention the niche "audiophile" ones selling for $1000+ online.

What I quickly learned through a combination of talking with vendors, coworkers, customers, and doing my own research, is that the premium you pay for these cables essentially pays for a more reliable/rugged build quality, and a lifetime warranty. Claims of improved audio/video quality over the $10 store brand HDMI cables were criminally overblown, if not outright fabricated.

So of course I was skeptical of this product at first, but I had never seen a cable with an embedded graphics processor, and after seeing several reviews and comparisons online, I knew this cable was something different. I want to give a special thanks to Emily on the technical support staff for fighting through a big headache with Paypal on my behalf as well!

Newer PC games typically have multiple anti-aliasing options built in, and the money you spend on these cables may be better spent on a beefier GPU to take advantage of better native anti-aliasing. But for retro PC games with only basic or no anti-aliasing support, and ESPECIALLY game consoles, this cable is absolute magic. My PS3 has never looked this good!

Big props to Marseille for delivering on a $120 cable what crooks ask over $1000 for and come up with squat. Yes $120 is expensive, but this is the first time I can say you can spend more than $10 on an HDMI cable and actually get what you pay for.

In summary, up until THIS POINT, everything you've heard about "ultra premium" HDMI cables being overhyped snake oil is pretty much correct. But those cables don't have embedded graphics processors. This cable is sui generis, in a class of its own, unlike anything we've seen before in a "cable". This changes everything.

I want to give a special thanks to Emily on the technical support staff for fighting through a big headache with Paypal on my behalf as well! These guys have a winning product and excellent customer service. Nothing to lose by giving this product a try.

    Works, but pricey.

Posted by Scott on Oct 9th 2017

My main use for this cable is for my Nintendo Switch. Both Breath of the Wild, and the upcoming Mario Odyssey, run at a native 900p. I bought this to smooth out the edges in these two games, and it definitely works in Zelda. My girlfriend, who never notices any changes in graphical settings, said it was like putting on glasses. The difference isn't earth shattering, but it does help. My main gripe will be the price, at $130 for the 6 ft variant, that's almost half the price of the actual console I'm using it on.

    Not seeing it yet

Posted by Sterling T on Oct 7th 2017

I purchased this cable in the 6 foot variety. In doing some testing on a ps3 for ps2 games (this ps3 is the 60gb fat with hardware back-compat) even when turning off all scaling and extras, the picture was no better than on a regular cable. For ps3 games running a set 720p the shimmering and aliasing were no different. I did look up and found a video on youtube showing that it did indeed make a difference, though they used it on a PC. I am giving it a middle rating because the CABLE works (i.e. transmits a clean signal) but I am yet to have seen any results that show it is actually doing ANYTHING more with the signal. I will test it on other consoles and also direct pc connect as I can. Maybe my cable is bum.. I actually wish the unit had a method or button to indicate the processing WAS actually working at all so I knew the cable was functioning as it should.

the shipping was fast and packaging is slick and really nice.

A best product to replace normal HDMI cable

Posted by YW on Sep 10th 2017

When you correctly connecting PSVR processing unit, this product brings you much more vivid and colorful image, and I feel the motion is smoother. Remember not changing screen size during the usage because it will cause a repeated blink.

While regarding to the effect to projector, I found by using mCable, the image becomes brighter and more colorful.

There are so many normal HDMI cable in Japan but expensive, such as high end cable being priced between 500$-700$. I own one of such kind of good cables but this product looks better with a reasonable price. I recommend this product when you searching for a high-end HDMI cable.

I've put up a few PSVR PS4 Slim comparison shots

Posted by KomandirHoek on Aug 13th 2017

I decided to purchase an mCable Gaming Edition to see if it would improve the experience on my PSVR (using a PS4 Slim). I was taking a gamble as there were no still-shots showing precisely how it compares to the standard setup, bar a few videos on YouTube that don't really demonstrate the difference. So, armed with my GoPro I gave it a shot to help others decide...

    Pics are up at:

In general I've found (on PS4 Slim at least)...

    - Jagged edges appear to be smoothed out in polygonal games (e.g. Superhot VR)

    - Slightly reduces screen door effect but does not get rid of it.

    - In texture-rich games that may already have had anti-aliasing done, it does seem to blur the textures. An example I used was Pinball FX 2 VR.

Things the cable does NOT do...

    - Does not remove the "shimmering" effect you sometimes get (I believe this is a PS4 Slim problem that doesn't exist as much on PS4 Pro)

    - Does not increase resolution. You get the same resolution but harsh edges are smoothed out.

Works well for polygonal games like Superhot / Polybius, etc. Colours on Polybius looked great so perhaps it does enhance bright colours.
For 2D difference is negligible, and on textures that have anti-aliasing already done it does seem to slightly blur them by reapplying anti-aliasing, but again this might not be a problem on PS4 Pro (all the positive reviews here seem to mention PS4 Pro).

All in all, it enhances the experience alright but perhaps wait for the price to drop a little unless you need your Superhot upgrade right now. I've given 4/5 stars for experience with a PS4 Slim so you may find the faults I list are not present with the PS4 Pro.
